CampaignsLaunch & Control

Launch, Pause, and Resume Campaigns

Full control over your campaign at every stage. Launch when you’re ready, pause when you need to, resume when the time is right.

Launch a campaign

  1. Navigate to Outreach > Campaigns
  2. Click on your draft campaign
  3. Review the campaign summary one final time
  4. Click Launch Campaign
⚠️

Before you launch: Send a test email to yourself and check the preview. Once launched, enrolled contacts start receiving emails according to your schedule.

What happens on launch

  • Campaign status changes to Active
  • All eligible contacts on the list are enrolled
  • The scheduler begins sending Step 1 emails according to your daily cap and send window
  • Analytics start tracking opens, clicks, and replies in real-time

Pause a campaign

Need to stop sending temporarily?

  1. Open your active campaign
  2. Click Pause Campaign
  3. All scheduled sends are held
  4. No new emails go out until you resume

When to pause:

  • You noticed an error in your email content
  • A holiday or event makes it a bad time to send
  • You want to review early results before continuing
  • Your mailbox needs reauthorization

Pausing does not remove enrolled contacts. Their position in the sequence is preserved.

Resume a campaign

  1. Open your paused campaign
  2. Click Resume Campaign
  3. Sending picks up where it left off

Contacts resume from their current step. If they were waiting for Step 3, they continue to Step 3 — not back to Step 1.

Cancel / reset a campaign

If you need to start fresh:

  1. Open the campaign
  2. Click Reset to return it to Draft status
  3. All enrollments are cleared
  4. The campaign can be reconfigured and relaunched
⚠️

Reset is destructive. All enrollment data, send history, and analytics for the current run are cleared. This cannot be undone.

Tips

  • Don’t launch on Friday afternoon — Your first emails should arrive when recipients are active
  • Monitor the first few hours — Watch for unusually high bounce rates or error messages
  • Pause instead of panicking — If something looks wrong, pause first, investigate, then decide
