Create Contacts Manually

Instantly add a hot lead the moment you discover them. Manual contact creation is perfect for one-off additions or quick entries.


Step by step

  1. Navigate to Contacts in the sidebar
  2. Click Add Contact
  3. Fill in the contact details:
    • Email (required) — The contact’s email address
    • First name — Their given name
    • Last name — Their family name
    • Company — The organization they belong to
    • Role — Their job title
    • Phone — Phone number
  4. Optionally add tags to categorize the contact
  5. Click Save

The contact is immediately available in your workspace and can be added to lists or enrolled in campaigns.

Email normalization: WorkOnward Reach automatically converts email addresses to lowercase and trims whitespace, so “[email protected]” and “[email protected]” are treated as the same contact.


Custom properties

If you’ve set up custom fields, they appear in the contact creation form automatically. Fill in any additional data points that are relevant.


Duplicate handling

WorkOnward Reach uses email as the unique identifier. If you try to create a contact with an email that already exists, you’ll be prompted to update the existing contact instead.


Tips

  • Add contacts right after a meeting — Capture details while they’re fresh
  • Use tags like “hot-lead” or “event-contact” to make them easy to find later
  • Fill in company and role — These fields power personalization in your email templates
