See what the assistant is doing while it works. Chat Inbox does not guess blindly - it uses mailbox and contact tools to retrieve email data, then streams the answer back to you.
Before you begin
- Open Chat > Inbox
- Select a connected mailbox
- Send at least one prompt so you can see the assistant respond
Step by step
- Ask a question in natural language.
- Watch the assistant stream text as it works.
- Review the tool status messages that appear while it searches or reads email data.
- Wait for the final response before deciding whether you need a follow-up prompt.
- Keep the same conversation going so the assistant can reuse context.

What happens next
Because the assistant is tool-based, it can move from a broad question to a precise answer in one thread. That makes it useful for inbox triage, account review, and quick contact research.
Tips
- Short, specific prompts usually work better than long paragraphs
- If the answer is too broad, ask the assistant to narrow by sender, date, or company
- Use chat for discovery, then switch to the outreach inbox when you are ready to reply
