- Click Edit on the contact profile section
- Modify any fields
- Click Save
Changes take effect immediately and are reflected in any active campaigns.
Status management
You can manually update a contact’s email marketing status from the detail page. Common scenarios:
- Re-subscribe a contact who previously unsubscribed (only if they’ve given explicit consent)
- Mark as bounced if you know an address is invalid
Some status transitions are restricted. For example, you cannot move a bounced contact back to subscribed — this protects your sender reputation.
Tips
- Check the timeline before reaching out manually — Know what they’ve already seen
- Look for reply signals — If they opened your email 3 times but didn’t reply, they might need a different approach
- Use outreach history for context — Don’t enroll someone in a new campaign if they’re actively in another one
