Monitor Mailbox Status
Always know if your sending is healthy. WorkOnward Reach tracks the status of every connected mailbox and alerts you before issues affect your campaigns.
Status indicators
Each mailbox shows one of these statuses:
| Status | Meaning | Action needed |
|---|---|---|
| Active | Connected and ready to send | None |
| Needs reauth | OAuth token expired or permissions changed | Click to reauthorize |
| Revoked | You revoked access from Google’s settings | Reconnect the account |
| Error | Last operation failed | Check error message, try reconnecting |
Reauthorizing a mailbox
When a mailbox shows “Needs reauth”:
- Click the Reauthorize button next to the mailbox
- Sign in to Google when prompted
- Grant permissions again
- Your mailbox returns to Active status
Why do tokens expire? Google OAuth tokens have limited lifetimes. If you change your Google password, enable 2FA, or revoke access from Google’s security settings, WorkOnward Reach needs you to reconnect.
Testing your connection
Click Test next to any mailbox to verify it can send and receive. The test:
- Attempts to authenticate with your email provider
- Reports success or the specific error encountered
- Updates the status indicator
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Likely cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| ”Needs reauth” keeps appearing | Google security settings changed | Reauthorize and ensure 2FA is stable |
| ”Error” after successful test | Temporary Google API issue | Wait a few minutes and try again |
| Can’t connect at all | Pop-up blocker preventing OAuth | Allow pop-ups for WorkOnward Reach’s domain |
| Emails not sending | Daily sending limit reached | Wait for the limit to reset or connect additional mailboxes |
Tips
- Check status before launching a campaign — An unhealthy mailbox means your campaign can’t send
- Set up multiple mailboxes — If one goes down, others keep sending
- Respond to reauth prompts quickly — Delayed reauth can pause active campaigns
